How to Connect Your CrownTV Media Player to Wi-Fi

Your CrownTV Media Player can connect to the internet using either an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. Follow the steps below to get connected and ensure your player stays updated.

Important Note

Your CrownTV Media Player requires a continuous internet connection to receive content updates and communicate with your dashboard.

  • If the player loses internet access, existing content will continue to play, but new schedules or updates will not appear until the connection is restored.

Option 1: Using an Ethernet Cable

If you have an Ethernet cable available:

  1. Locate the Ethernet port on the back of your CrownTV Media Player.
  2. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the port and the other end into your internet router or wall network port.
  3. Make sure the HDMI cable is securely connected from the media player to the TV, and the power adapter is plugged in.

Once connected, your device will automatically access the internet—no further setup is needed.

Option 2: Connecting via Wi-Fi

If an Ethernet connection is not available, follow these steps to connect using Wi-Fi:

Step 1: Connect a Mouse

  1. Use a wired USB mouse (included with your CrownTV package, though any wired USB mouse will work).
  2. Plug the mouse into one of the black USB ports on the side of the media player (avoid the blue port).

Move the mouse—if you see a pointer on screen, it’s working.

    • If not, try another USB port or a different mouse.

Step 2: Access Network Settings

  1. Use the mouse to left-click anywhere on the screen to open the menu.
  2. Select Network SetupWi-Fi.

  1. Choose your Wi-Fi network (SSID) from the list.
  2. Enter your Wi-Fi password, then click Next.
  3. When the Advanced Wi-Fi Configuration screen appears, click Done.
  4. If a message appears saying “Save custom network settings?”, click OK.

Step 3: Verify Connection

  1. Right-click with your mouse to open the Diagnostics window.
  2. Check that:
    • The connection status shows Connected (in green).
    • The correct Wi-Fi SSID/name is displayed.
  3. Once verified, left-click to close the menu.

Your CrownTV Media Player is now connected to Wi-Fi.

If your screen displays the correct content and “Connected” status appears in green, your setup is complete.
