How do I use the Canvas app to create an animated template?

We've shown you how to create a static template using the Canvas app. Using the same example, here's how to add animation to your template!

1. Go into Animation mode and add an element

Below your design, click 'Animation'. You'll now see a column to the right, labeled 'Animation order'.

Click 'Add element', and you'll see the below dialogue box.

2. Choose element(s) to animate

Select which element(s) of your design you'd like to animate. In this example, we'll animate the text and CrownTV logo. Select your element(s), then click 'Accept'. You'll then see the element(s) under the 'Animation order' column.

3. Choose animation(s)

For each element, click the dropdown and choose one of five animation effects. We'll use 'Slide left' for the first element and 'Fade in' for the second.

4. Choose animation order

Choose which animation occurs first, second, third, etc. by dragging and dropping the elements.

5. Preview your animations

Preview your animations by clicking the play button at the bottom of the 'Animation order' column, which also shows you the total duration in seconds.

Make adjustments as needed, then save your template.
